STYLE GURU STYLE: Spring Into Neutrals

The sun is finally starting to make an appearance and I am taking full advantage of it by breaking out the lighter spring tones. There have been so many awesome trends emerging this spring, like the neck scarf/bandana trend and feminine clogs/mules. I decided to incorporate both of those trends into this look!

I knew I wanted to style this bandana with a spring outfit, so I paired it with a simple oversize white T-shirt. To add a little extra detail, I decided to tie the bottom of my shirt which is also a great alternative to tucking it in especially when it’s oversize. My favorite pair of Articles of Society jeans are my go-to medium wash denim. They’re a great medium shade for transitioning between seasons when you aren’t quite ready to break out the lightest wash denim you own.

To keep the outfit on the neutral side, I picked my taupe mule booties by DV at Target. These shoes are the perfect take on a classic bootie for spring. It’s so easy to slip them on with almost any outfit, and they’re minimal with a textured detail. I accessorized with a similar tone shoulder bag and a silver watch to tie in the chain detail of the purse.

My style advice for spring is to keep your outfits light and airy. A fashionable outfit doesn’t have to be expensive or completely fashion forward. Identify your favorite trends and add your own style to them! Typically, I would wear this outfit with a simple necklace instead of the bandana, but this new trend is one I could easily incorporate into my everyday style. Be creative with your current wardrobe and add a subtle twist for spring.
