STYLE GURU STYLE: Something About Separates

Graduation party season is officially here and for many of us that means it’s time to go on the hunt for a polished but light outfit. Lately, I find myself turning to separates inspired by the Altuzarra spring 2015 collection. The Altuzarra collection of separates is classic, sophisticated and easily transfers from runway to real life. I instantly became obsessed with this trend and stared looking for a more affordable brand that could give me that same look which was when I came across Harlyn. Harlyn can best be described as having a laid back West Coast vibe with a touch of East Coast polish. By pairing everything from midi skirts to high-waisted pants with cool matching crop tops, Harlyn creates a line that can easily be dressed up or dressed down.

I am totally obsessed with the Gatsby vibe my outfit is giving off. The cool peplum top and midi skirt scream classic yet the mesh detailing in the skirt allows me to show just the right amount of skin. I paired this outfit with my favorite natural heeled sandals and a simple bracelet that gives this outfit just the right amount of flavor. If you are looking for a more laid back effect, I recommend pairing the outfit with just a simple flat sandal and a jean jacket.

The best part about separates is that you have the ability for so many different outfit choices. Using the pieces from this outfit, I can already see myself pairing the top with a cool pair of white shorts and pairing the skirt with a cool T-shirt. With so many styling options available for separates, I look forward to seeing what all you other Fashionistas come up with!
