STYLE GURU STYLE: Simply Neutral

So after a crazy long week of celebrating my 21st birthday (#IglooWeek on social media), I decided it would be fun to share some of the secrets behind my birthday outfits. This outfit in particular was one of my favorites, mainly because it was one of the last ones I wore—Sunday Night Bingo at the Standard, a must if you ask me. Mixing my obsession with the color palette and neutral tones of the Tom Ford fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection, with my love for Cushnie et Ochs fall 2015 ready-to-wear silhouettes and matching separates, this outfit was born.

This crop top skirt combo is a must in your closet—from day to night to formal to casual, you can dress it up depending on the accessories. I stuck to Tom Ford’s army tones so that I could wear gold jewelry, the most flattering for a summer tan! The palette also complemented my nude heeled gladiators, a new addition to my closet that I had to search for. A nude, beige or brown gladiator is my special secret because while sticking to the gladiator trend, these colors actually complement the length of your leg rather than cut it off. Although they are out of stock, I found some similar pairs like this one. To bring the top and bottom together I threw on a gold body chain that kept the outfit fun and sexy. Plus reflective sunnies for the day and also for when things got a little too wild at Bingo. A statement bag to grab attention to the otherwise simply-chic outfit, and I was ready to go.

Get My Look: 1. White nail polish—a summer must and a popular fashion week essential. 2. Body chain—bring out your inner Rihanna. 3. A crop top skirt combo—flattering no matter the season.
