I love sunsets, rainbows, green grass and the blues of all the oceans. Colorful things make me happy and the Clover Canyon resort 2016 collection is one of those things. Rozae Nichols created this collection with the “ridiculous color and joyfulness” of a Long Beach amusement park. I believe that her collection truly does capture the happiness that a seaside amusement park brings. The colors are vibrant including bright yellows, reds, oranges, blues and more.
While looking through the collection, look five reminded me of a shirt that I have, but haven’t worn yet this summer. Although I love colors, my wardrobe consists of many neutral colors and only one yellow item. This collection inspired me to dig my only yellow shirt out of my closet. It is a crop top so I decided to pair it with my favorite distressed high-waisted Topshop jeans. I cuffed the jeans and put on my pair of black Converse. Last year, my Converse were my go-to shoes, but surprisingly this was the first day I’ve worn them all summer.
My outfits are never complete unless I add some jewelry, so I put on a few of my favorite rings that I’ve gathered over the years. I decided to go with some pretty blue rings since the Clover Canyon collection was all about color. I added another pop of color with my pink lipstick. Lastly, I finished my look with some loose waves that I’ve been loving this summer.
