STYLE GURU STYLE: Rompers to the Rescue

It’s the time we have been waiting for all year; summer is finally here. Planning five to seven outfits to wear out on your vacation is stressful, leading us to overpack unnecessary pieces of clothing.

In the Christian Dior resort 2017 collection, Christian Dior used an earthy, neutral palette that is versatile to complement with prints. The outfit that I re-created from this collection was look number nine. It is a bright red jumpsuit with a dainty floral print. This outfit is perfect to dress up by adding wedges or just enough to dress down with sandals. It’s perfect for those lazy days when you do not want to spend time choosing an outfit.

Florals prints are made to be worn in summer. Why not showcase the beauty of Mother Nature in a cute romper or jumpsuit? To Silvia-ify the outfit, I chose a romper instead of a jumpsuit because I am petite; because of my small frame, jumpsuits are not really my thing. I kept the color scheme muted orange, allowing me to keep everything else neutral. I live for florals—they are my absolute favorite print because it’s girly and flirty.

The high neckline and open back make it appropriate to wear in the summer to soak in some Vitamin D while vacationing. It also gives you the excuse to showcase your new summer glow. I personally did not feel the need to add jewelry because the floral print was the statement piece I really wanted to emphasize. For the shoes, I kept it simple by using my Jesus-looking sandals.

Get the Look: 1. Floral romper. 2. Sandals. 3. Backless bra.
