STYLE GURU STYLE: Rocking the Rockstud

As Valentino Garavani once said, “I like simple things.” I’d like to define my style as overall chic. And as a chic Fashionista, I think the number one rule of being chic is remaining simple. Even the man who has designed and created some of the most recognizable dresses and leather goods sees the good in simple things…so I must be doing something right, right? Having a relatively simple ensemble allows you to wear your most eye-catching accessories without having your look seem too busy.

In the Bally spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection, creative director Pablo Coppola surprised us with works of denim. This collection managed to convey the attitude of effortlessness while remaining chic. Coppola demonstrated how even classic pieces like denim jeans, paired with the right accessories like structured shoulder bags or casual blazers, can exude timeless luxury with ease.

I decided to don an outfit with influence of the denim aspect of this Bally collection with my treasured Valentino Rockstud flats as the central focus *enter heart eyes emoji here.* My chambray shirt and white jeans are some essentials for the spring and summer seasons. They’re easy to style with different outfits like leather leggings or a simple black and white striped T-shirt. Although wearing these flats for long hours of the day make me want to scream, I tough it out because as all Fashionista/os know–beauty is pain.

These beauties were absolutely made for street chic Fashionistas. I love most that they can be dressed down for the day (like what I wore here) or dressed up for the night (like with a little black dress) with ease. Find your inner-chic with a street meets chic outfit similar to the one I rocked!
