STYLE GURU STYLE: Retro Vibin'

Have you ever wanted to live in retro-vintage attire? Well then take a walk into my wardrobe, where there are no rules. Fashion is a form of expression where you choose an outfit based on how you’re feeling that day. This look is derived from a bit of oversized comfort mixed in some old school leather.

Taking inspiration from Faith Connexion’s pre-fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection, I combined classic, ripped jeans with an oversized button-up and threw on an “I don’t care” leather bomber jacket. Instead of loud, plaid pants, I went for simple, ripped jeans and a fierce red and blue color palette.

I am obsessed with searching for the latest retro looks on Instagram. It has become my new thrift shop for when I don’t have time to take a trip to Queen Street in Toronto. Instagram is also where I came across my “Take me to Yosemite” T-shirt, which became an instant purchase, no questions asked. Call me spontaneous (or thrifty); you can wear this shirt loose or tie it up and make it unique.

Oversized shirts and leather is where you simply cannot go wrong. Pair it with your favorite boots, and you’ll be sure to make a statement. I grabbed my ankle booties to go along with my ensemble because they’re comfortable and stylish all wrapped into one. It’s the perfect look that will have you feeling both masculine and feminine.

Get My Look: 1. Any vintage T-shirt. 2. Leather bomber jacket. 3. Ankle booties.
