My list of favorite things in no particular order: Beyoncé, peach green tea lemonades, French Bulldogs and Marchesa’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection. If I were able to have all of those beautiful people and things in the same room at once, I would probably pass out from too much excitement (especially if Beyoncé was holding a French Bulldog while wearing Marchesa and drinking a PGTL). Everything about the collection was absolutely phenomenal. I nearly drooled over my laptop as I clicked through the photos several times. The tiny beading, fringe, colors, and draping of the looks were crafted so beautifully; it nearly brought tears to my eyes. I love how each piece was so strong on its own, yet they were all cohesive. Marchesa’s line has inspired me to incorporate and mix lots of subtle, solid pieces with some fun and slightly outlandish ones.
Anything and everything black is always a classy option, whether its shoes, pants, shirts or jackets. I chose a black tank that complements my shape as well as my favorite Topshop jeans. To make my outfit pop, I wore a quilted jacket that has little hues of blue in random spots. I added a sparkly purse that actually changes colors depending on which way you brush the sequins. The colors are so eye captivating and has a sort of mermaid-eque look. To continue on the blue hue trend, I wore my studded, turquoise Converse for a little extra pizazz. These are some of my favorite shoes, but they can sometimes be challenging to find a solid outfit to go with.
Marchesa’s collection motivated me to always go the extra mile when it comes down to perfecting my outfit. Whether it be little details like cuffing your jeans or adding a bracelet, they are still important decisions that shouldn’t be overlooked. Adding colorful and sparkly embellishments to your look is an exciting way to make yourself and your outfit stand out and look fantastic. I definitely plan to continue incorporating tiny details throughout the rest of my ensembles.
