STYLE GURU STYLE: Pumped Up Kicks

Back at it again with the white sneaker trend. Throughout the summer season, white sneakers became one of the biggest shoe trends. It started with the popular white Vans and slowly transitioned to the iconic adidas Super Stars. For fall, this trend has continued to stick around, adding a unique athletic touch to simple and classic outfits.

The simplicity of white shoes allows for any outfit to be dressed up or down. For my outfit, I decided to take some basic pieces and pair them with the shoes to create a more dressed up look for class. I took a basic grey T-shirt and paired it with some high-waisted jeans that are ripped at the knees. I also wore a Free People halter style bralette. I love having the pop of lace peaking out of a basic top. For jewelry, I just had in my every day stud earrings. I also left my makeup rather natural because I was just heading to a day full of classes.

The shoes however give my outfit a more put together look than any old sneakers would. This basic look is more dressed up than just a pair of leggings and a hoodie that many college students would wear on a day filled with classes. It still gives you the comfortable and casual look you are going for but, in a more put together way.

These sneakers have become a staple in my wardrobe. I’ve paired them with anything from jeans and a T-shirt to a basic dress. They are truly a versatile accessory, and I definitely think that they will be sticking around for the upcoming seasons for this reason.
