Alexander McQueen is one of the most known companies in the fashion industry. His pieces often show the nontraditional beauty that can be created in clothing, which is why I am always drawn to his amazing runway styles. In the Alexander McQueen spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection, beauty was clearly displayed. Alexander McQueen’s use of denim and pale pink on the runway is different from their usual designs, but brought a soft feminine feel to the runway. Each design created a relaxed look with a dominate color of pale pink in each. These styles have a clear relevance to the spring/summer season from the feminine and nature feel in these pieces.
The distressed jeans and pale pink colors in these designs inspired me to recreate my own look. I was beyond excited to combine my urban chic style with these two elements. To create this look I paired a strappy black bodysuit and gray distressed jeans with pale pink accessories. Although my outfit does not have elements of nature, my high-waisted jeans and pale pink accessories bring a strong feminine feel to the look.
As for my accessories, I have recently fallen in love with strappy stilettos, especially if they’re pink! Stilettos, such as the ones I am wearing, can be added with any jean to create a soft, fun feminine look. Since I live in the city, everyone’s always dressed to impress while still looking casual. A cute pair of jeans are normally my solution; they are timeless and they can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. To add a fun feel, I paired my favorite black choker, which went great with my black bodysuit. My handbags are almost all pink and adding this pale pink one helped accentuate my soft feminine side just like Alexander McQueen, which completed my runway inspired look.
