STYLE GURU STYLE: Perfect Palazzo

I really love the palazzo pants trend that is so popular right now, and I was inspired to incorporate denim into more of my outfits following the CollegeFashionista #FashionTalk on Twitter with 7 For All Mankind. I was inspired to create an outfit that combined denim, colorful prints and wide leg cuts by the resort 2016 collection from Tsumori Chisato, a Japanese designer whose bright, bohemian designs really caught my eye.

I saw the palazzo pant trend begin last summer, but it has seen a growth in popularity over the past year. I love this pair in particular because of the vintage look of the print as well as the exaggerated bell bottom mixed with a tighter cut through the leg. I have been pairing these pants with a black flowy tank top, but I wanted to mix it up and pair the print with the denim button-down.

The pants served as the print with an interesting shape aspect of my outfit. I chose a denim button-down instead of a jean jacket to add some overall looseness to the outfit. To further get the look, I could have done my hair up in a top knot. I think this look is perfect to wear on the weekend or to class in the fall!

I accessorized with a pair of round gold studs and a brown cross-body bag. The earrings go with pretty much anything, and the bag is surprisingly roomy. I’m definitely more of a gold person than a silver person and everything from my earrings to the metal accents on my bag and shoes showed that.

Get My Look: 1. Denim button-down. 2. Palazzo pants. 3. Cross-body bag.
