Patterned pants are all the rage during these summer months. They can be seen in practically every store imaginable, and they transition well into the cooler, fall months. While you might pair your patterned pants with a simple crop top like I did for the warm summer months, you can also pair them with a cardigan for those crisp fall days.
In alice + olivia’s resort 2016 collection, patterned pieces can be seen in almost every look whether it is pants, tops or even dresses. One thing that the collection features more than once is a patterned piece paired with a solid. This combination really helps showcase the patterned aspect of the outfit, so your attention is drawn to it. While some of the looks feature pattern on pattern, my personal style usually involves mixing a solid with a pattern, which you can see I have done with this particular outfit. I paired a simple crop top with an exposed zipper from Forever 21, with a pair of bold patterned pants. The combination really allows the pants to take center stage.
Another major feature in alice + olivia’s collection is fringe. Whether it is ponchos with a touch of fringe on them or a spunky fringe heel, the collection definitely incorporated the trend in many different pieces. In my particular outfit, I wore a pair of fringe sandals made by Minnetonka, which are not only comfortable, but they also gave my outfit more of a boho feel. Instead of wearing just plain, average sandals, these sandals add more flair to my outfit.
