STYLE GURU STYLE: Off The Shoulder

It’s no secret that this summer, off-the-shoulder tops have been all the craze. Providing a hint of femininity while leaving you feeling summery and breezy, they’re a fabulous twist on a classic blouse, perfect for an endless list of summer occasions.

Chloé showed off-the-shoulder tops in their spring 2016 runway show, along with countless other designers, and the trend has since become a warm-weather wardrobe essential.

One of my favorite tricks to pair with a top that shows my shoulders is to highlight both my shoulders and my collarbone, which leaves you looking extra glowing for summer (I feel like it always makes me look a little more sun-kissed, too!) Here, I used the notorious Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop.

I paired this top with white, high-waisted jeans. I get so much use out of these pants in the summer, they’re so comfortable and go with everything! These sandals from Target have also been a summer staple for me; they’re the perfect height and go with everything in my closet.

I didn’t want to take away from the simplicity of the off-the-shoulder top with a lot of jewelry, so I just wore my Kendra Scott ‘Elisa’ Pendant Necklace in Iridescent Drusy to give it a little something. This tortoise patterned watch with gold accents went perfectly with the gold on my sandals and necklace. Lastly, my purse is by Rebecca Minkoff, and I love it because you can use it both as a shoulder bag or as a cross-body by altering the length of the strap.
