Rock ‘n’ roll will never die! There is nothing that screams London like the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and Queen. While studying abroad in London this summer, I am channeling my inner rocker chick by wearing tons of black and working in pops of red for detail.
With inspiration taken from the Coach 1941 spring 2017 runway collection, I created my look with the edgy style seen in the show. In the collection, each model wore a different variation of black, white and red which created an overall collective theme. I used this idea within my outfit, but added my own pop culture twist by adding the Rolling Stones logo. One of my favorite things to do with my outfits is to take a piece of the culture around me and tie it into my look. This not only makes your looks more personal, but it allows one to appreciate their locale more.
I took the rockstar vibe and mixed it with a more casual look which creates the perfect outfit for going out on the town. In this look, I took a graphic T-shirt and made it more dressed up by adding the denim jacket over it. Try draping a jacket over you instead of formally wearing it, because it’s a fun way to make a casual outfit more sophisticated.
The black skinnies add to the color scheme and the lace-up block heels are the ideal rocker finishing touch. For a put together look, accessorize with simple but playful details. In this outfit, I wore a simple gold watch and spruced it up with some bright red lips. Keep it real and rock on fellow Fashionistas!
