Wow, I don’t know about you guys but I cannot believe how fast summer flew by! I am trying my best to soak up every ounce of sun here in California before I return to New York City next week.
I think what I love most about the summertime is that I am reunited with my west coast girl friends! We recently had a girls night that turned into a girls day and went out thrift shopping. I stumbled upon a beautiful white lace dress that I now want to live in forever, and the best part was that it was only six dollars!
This look features my new thrifted dress that reminded me so much of Balenciaga’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection. All of the looks were in shades of white and looked absolutely breathtaking. The collection is effortlessly cool yet elegant at the same time. The looks are simple, the models wore minimal makeup and their hair were pulled back into messy chic ponytails. One look by Balenciaga that reminded me of my thrifted treasure was a lace floral see-through dress. The model sported nothing else but the dress, some lace slippers and minimal accessories. I loved how the main focal point was the dress and how it was revealing without being too revealing.
For my look, I also decided to keep the dress as the main focal point since I wanted to highlight its beauty. I paired it with some transparent rhinestone wedges, a silver bracelet and silver nails. I also kept my hair and makeup minimal to shadow Balenciaga’s show.
I loved the minimalism of this look. I felt so elegant and beautiful in this dress! It made me feel comfortable in my own skin so I didn’t want to distract from its beauty. Less was definitely more when it came to this beautiful thrift store find!
