STYLE GURU STYLE: Matchy Matchy

Still continuing the outfits from my birthday week—#IglooWeek never dies—here is another favorite. Inspired by the spring 2015 trend of matching separates (I will never give this trend up), this outfit was born. Matching separates simply makes your life easier; just throw the respective top or bottom and your outfit is complete. No need to stress about matching the colors or the styles, it just goes, which is something that makes my getting ready process incredibly faster.

If you recall Alexander McQueen spring 2015 ready-to-wear, this outfit is basically a knockoff. I used the patterns, color schemes and classy silhouettes to influence my buying of this two-piece. However, at the same time since it was my 21st birthday I was celebrating, I needed a little sexy, fun pizazz—cue Moschino spring 2015 ready-to-wear. Although a little wild, Jeremy Scott is a brilliant designer and I fell in love with Moschino’s girly, sexy and fun matching separates. Mixing the playful and colorful cutouts and vibes from Moschino with the elegant floral Asian theme of Alexander McQueen came this awesome pant/top combo.

Matching separates come in many different styles, silhouettes and colors. With the one that I am wearing, the pattern was so bold that I did not need to focus much on accessories. Elegant rings, strappy heels and a mini clutch complemented and finished off the outfit. If going with a simpler top and bottom combo, like my last post, use big accessories to make you stand out!

Get My Look: 1. Black strappy heels. 2. Matching separates. 3. A great clutch.
