STYLE GURU STYLE: It’s the Little Things!

I’m head-over-heels for the beautiful weather my great state of Michigan is giving us. It’s mid-November, and I have yet to need a coat to guard myself against the brutal winter winds. Autumn is nearly over, which means my time strutting around the city in just a thin cardigan and a simple heel is almost over. Before I say goodbye to the best season of the year, I’m going to take advantage of Mother Nature’s gift and give the city one last stroll in my favorite autumn outfit.

I try to keep my aesthetic simple with a few key details to tie my outfit together. In this case, my base is classic black leggings. These are an obvious staple in any Fashionista’s wardrobe. (You can never go wrong!) I have about a million long cardigans in my closet, but I selected my crème one because it has a subtle stitched pattern. This adds amazing texture and detail to my outfit. I threw on a simple, old gray T-shirt I bought from a little boutique in Rome, Italy, this past summer. The cotton fabric is perfect for a warmer autumn day! I matched my socks with the color of my T-shirt, which is a small detail that makes for a big impact. I added a big statement necklace from Forever 21 to tie it altogether!

Oh, but what’s an outfit without killer shoes? These are my favorite booties. A little heel and black suede does an outfit well, let me tell ya! Franco Sarto is the man to see if you’re in the market for some new booties. They’re great for dressing up or dressing down an outfit! They are simple, functional, versatile and the perfect detail to make your outfit shine!

I’m taking advantage of this beautiful weather to showcase my style before I have to cover it up with a big old winter coat. (Dear Mother Nature, not yet.)
