Rachel Zoe once said, “Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak.” So if this outfit could say anything, it would definitely be saying “maj,” “die” and “bananas,” because this season, I am getting my wardrobe inspiration from Rachel Zoe’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection.
This collection is chalk full of great staple pieces that are so ethereal they become timeless. So in the spirit of this collection, I have put together an outfit that is effortlessly chic and polished.
The main focus of this look is the off-the-shoulder crop top. The ruffles across the top of the blouse mimic the ruffles in the Rachel Zoe ensemble, creating a bohemian vibe for this minimalistic outfit. On the bottom, I opted for a pair of high-waisted culottes. I love culottes because they are the business appropriate version of a skort. They flow just like a skirt but they give the flexibility and comfortability of pants which is key for a Fashionista on-the-go.
With the accessories, I wanted to include items that would add some edge to contrast the looseness of the outfit. I added this oversized, studded clutch from Charming Charlie’s. For shoes, I chose black heeled sandals similar to the runway version. Last but not least, no summer look is complete without a great pair of sunglasses, so I added these rounded tortoise shell frames in true Rachel Zoe fashion.
I think it’s safe to say that, easy-breezy fashion will always be to die for.
