STYLE GURU STYLE: Hats Off to Accessorizing

It’s no secret that hats are my favorite accessory and have become a signature of mine. Whether it be in winter or spring, wide brimmed hats add a touch of glamour and sophistication to any outfit. For the winter, I chose a black hat, which can be seen in my STYLE GURU BIO. Now for spring, I have chosen a camel colored hat that lightens up any outfit and seems more appropriate for warmer weather. Chanel’s spring 2015 couture show featured many hats on the runway, which only furthered my obsession. My absolute favorite hat is from H&M because of the material, size and style. I have many hats, yet I always find myself gravitating towards my H&M ones, so hats off to them!

In the spring, it is easy to throw on a patterned dress and jean jacket and to be ready to go. However, you want to be able to stand out in the crowd, right? The key to looking trendy and fashionable in the spring and summer is accessorizing. Try wearing a trendy bag, a bold shoe, stacked cuff bracelets or a bold lip. Lately I have been very inspired by the pictures from Coachella because of the unique layering of jewelry.

For this look, of course I had to incorporate stripes, which is another one of my signatures. I believe that if you have something you like and makes you feel confident, then why not buy it in multiple variations and rock it every day? I paired a light red and white striped dress with my classic jean jacket for starters. I added my favorite camel colored hat and a pair of simple strappy sandals. This style of sandal or a caged heel are both very on-trend right now and help to add an element of style to any look. Finally, I stacked some bracelets and put on my favorite Marc by Marc Jacobs cross-body bag. This is an easy outfit that incorporates trendy accessories that will set you apart from other spring fashion looks.

Get My Look: 1. Wide brim hat. 2. Strappy sandals either flat or heeled. 3. A summertime cross-body bag.
