STYLE GURU STYLE: Gypsy Paradise

Can we just acknowledge that I shot this post at the end of December and was completely comfortable in this attire? Only in Texas is it 84 degrees the day after Christmas. Needless to say, I wasn’t complaining. Being born and raised in the south, I pretty much shut down when it gets below 40 degrees. Sunshine and warmth is home, and always where I want to be.

I love this look. It is so fun and free but still somehow put together. Off-the-shoulder tops are so effortlessly feminine and this one is a particular favorite. I love how the arms are not defined, giving the look of one continuous, flowing piece. Despite my affection for this top, the leggings are the star of the show. Snakeskin patterns are a sure-fire way to spice up any look, and this fierce ruby red version is just to die for.

These leggings are definitely intended for athletic wear, but incorporating pieces that aren’t necessarily meant to be worn in the way I decide to wear them is one of my favorite things to do. I wanted to rebel against the geometric feel of the leggings, so I styled them in a more bohemian fashion. I added the lace-up flats and the dainty choker to further the femininity of the look, and the layered bracelets and statement hoops to fulfill my gypsy soul.

One of the best things about this outfit is how incredibly comfortable it is. I would probably wear it for a day of shopping or maybe a lunch date!
