STYLE GURU STYLE: Girly Grunge

A question I always ask myself before I walk out of my house for the day is “Am I comfortable in what I am wearing?” I find that if I am wearing something that is uncomfortable, I am not able to focus or function the rest of the day. This is a lesson I learned the hard way (cute wedge sandals are not comfortable to wear while running around in Disney World). Everyone looks confident when they feel good in their clothes! Who knows where the day will take you, so you might as well be comfortable.

When I came across the 6397 Resort 2016 collection, I got wildly excited. Everything is oversized, neutral, a little grunge and super casual. The collection consisted of a lot of classic pieces styled in a fashion-forward way. Some things that stuck out to me from the collection were the button-down shirts, the gray tops and the black sneakers.

Since all of these items were neutral, they instantly matched. The ‘90s look is very in right now so I tied the button-down shirt around my waist since it was hot outside. You can easily take this look into the night by actually wearing the shirt over the dress. These sneakers are so comfortable and stylish, so no matter if you are standing all day on the sales floor or walking all over Europe, they are the perfect pair. I decided to add a smokey eye and nude lip to show a girly way to approach grunge.

Get My Look: 1. An over-sized, flannel shirt. 2. A gray tank dress. 3. Black sneakers.
