STYLE GURU STYLE: For The Love Of Maxi

When the word summer comes to my mind, I immediately think of maxi dresses. My collection of maxi dresses has grown over the last few years and I guess you can say that I am obsessed with them. They are my go-to outfit when I am trying to look cute without actually putting in effort on what to wear. You can never go wrong with a long flowy maxi dress when aiming to look effortlessly chic.

The Sarah Burton collection for the late Alexander McQueen inspired my look because the entire 2015 spring collection showcased flowy dresses. The contrast of floral print was also displayed throughout this collection as the theme of this fashion show was inspired by the Japanese culture, which was pretty cool. This entire collection from start to finish looked amazing and I have never seen anything like this before in the fashion world. The icing on the cake is that these dresses are very sophisticated, sexy clever tasteful and of course stunning.

This collection motivated me to put together my own look for summer as I put my own spin to it and created this effortless look. If you want to rock this style, just pick out any floral dress and a cute pair of sandals. With an outfit like this you can literally get dressed in five minutes and be out the door.

For my outfit, I chose a blue maxi dress with floral print all over as well as these cute taupe looking sandals to go with my dress along with a straw hat. For accessories, I wore my favorite sunglasses at the moment from Steve Madden along with a simple gold necklace. Overall, this look is naturally chic just like the Alexander McQueen collection.
