STYLE GURU STYLE: Fierce and Flowery

As I am writing this article in the middle of a 20 degree day in March, I can officially say that I am over winter. We have a few more months before the weather warms up, but until then, I have chosen to embrace my favorite winter trends that can transition easily into the spring season.

I am always obsessing over the boldest patterns to hit the fashion scene, and right now that’s cheetah and floral prints. The fact that these prints are making their way into every store is not only brightening up my winter wardrobe but my overall mood! These patterns are sure to grow for the spring season, so might as well start incorporating them into your outfits now.

For this look, I am wearing black distressed jeans, a black turtleneck, and a silk cheetah print robe (that I stole from my mom’s closet) paired with black and red floral boots. My shoes have to be my favorite part of this look because they pair well with different patterns while also being a perfect day to night piece. I wore this cheetah print robe as a kimono over a basic outfit to add another element to this look. Patterned kimonos are a great way to elevate your look to be brighter for the spring season.

I am wearing all black with a touch of patterns for this look, but I am all about being bold and unique with your outfits, so don’t be afraid to mix as many patterns as your heart desires. Spring is sure to be a bold season filled with embroidered florals and bright colors, so in my mind, the classic all-black winter wardrobe is over.

As a Style Guru, I am so grateful to be able to encourage others to use fashion as a way to express yourself. Enjoy dressing up this spring with these super fun trends and make them into something unique!
