STYLE GURU STYLE: Falling for Florals

Meryl Streep, as Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada, once said, “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” It’s true that florals have never really gone out of style during this season; it makes carrying over pieces you have bought from years past a whole lot easier. Marchesa’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection included flowers in nearly every piece. Some looked straight out of a garden!

I feel like my floral look gives off lots of Taylor Swift vibes. It’s sweet, simple and not at all overdone. This light and airy dress keeps me cool on the warmest summer days. I have been wearing these brown sandals for as long as I can remember. A pair of brown, tortoiseshell sunglasses and some flower earrings are the final touches on this girly outift.

Florals are a classic, but if you want to switch it up, try wearing something trendy in a floral print. This fancy romper can be worn to a formal event. These high-waisted jeans are loud and will definitely make a statement. Try a floral crop top, headband maxi dress or maxi skirt. These are ways you can rock a trend in a more classic way. You also can incorporate the print no matter what your style. Edgy, feminine, and boho florals can be found in every color, for every piece of clothing or accessory. It is definitely a print that’s for everyone. It may not be the most “groundbreaking,” but it’s something you’ll be wearing for years to come!

Get My Look: 1. A floral dress. 2. Some strappy sandals. 3. A pair of tortoiseshell sunglasses.
