A denim skirt? For summer? Groundbreaking. Here I am again in my trusty Topshop denim button front skirt and beloved black Keds. I just can’t get enough of them! This time around, I’ve styled them with a vintage denim crop top I scored at a Savers thrift store for a double denim look that is inspired by the Marques’Almeida fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection. This breathtaking collection features many denim on denim looks that were too cool not to try and copy. While my look doesn’t feature frayed denim, it still achieves the same coordinating style. After all, putting your own unique spin on high fashion is what personal style is all about.

While it may seem a bit daunting at first, double denim isn’t a difficult look to wear. I think it looks amazing on everyone. If you have jeans, a denim jacket, denim skirt, jean shorts and a denim or chambray shirt, you can put many different looks together all year round. The possibilities are endless. Wear all denim with the same confidence you do wearing all black. You’ll be slaying the style game. Maybe orange is the new black is the new denim!

Denim on denim definitely gives off an ’80s retro vibe. All the celebrities are wearing it from the Jenner sisters and Gigi Hadid to Anne Hathaway. Fashionistas and Fashionistos alike should be feeling the blues too! Don’t be afraid to double up on denim. Go head to toe indigo! It’s twice as nice.

Get My Look: 1. A denim skirt. 2. A denim crop top. 3. A pair of sneakers.
