STYLE GURU STYLE: Don’t Cut Me Off

Rachel Zoe is queen in my book. She can do no wrong and has an eye for style. I was an avid viewer of her television show and fell more in love with her. I have mad respect for any strong female entrepreneur. She has built a huge empire and has paved the way for many young Fashionistas/os. My favorite collection is spring 2014 ready-to-wear. The whole collection is classic and chic with an edge. I loved how she used distressed denim to create a causal feel.

My look was different with more casual and laid back feel. In the summer, I am running around, but I still like to look cute (I may see someone from high school). Ripped shorts are huge for the summertime. They add a rocker feel to any outfit.

I like to think I follow a uniform with my outfit choices. Living in southern California has totally shaped my wardrobe. I need my summer uniform to be comfy, airy for those sunny days and I must be able to wear a bathing suit under it. I have a love affair with cut-offs. I mean these One Teaspoon shorts are just perfection, but I do not have the dough to drop on a pair of shorts. It is tough to find a great pair of shorts that does not reveal everything. I found a RAD pair at H&M that are such a steal. You can dress up the outfit and pair the shorts with a blouse like how Zoe styled the model. Finish the look with a leather jacket when it gets chilly.
