STYLE GURU STYLE: Denim This, Denim That

Although I feel as if my style is forever changing, my eye seems to always gravitate towards denim and lace while browsing the racks of my favorite stores. Maybe this is the reason why the Chloé spring 2015 ready-to-wear fashion show caught my eye. Everything in this collection seemed free and dainty and with the perfect amount of denim in the pants, tops, and dresses, it just made this fashion show one of my favorites that I have seen this season. It is kind of like Free People and Levi’s collaborated and let me tell you: it is awesome. I enjoy being able to look at fashion shows and the clothing and accessories the models are modeling and being able to translate that look easily with the things that I know that I have in my closet at home.

My J.Crew denim dress is easily one of my favorite and most worn thing in my closet. You can wear it as a cover-up for the pool, top it off with a hat and go grocery shopping or dress it up with a belt and some heels. Dressing up this look is definitely my favorite way to wear it. Since this dress does not have much of a shape to it, I grabbed my cheetah print belt to make my figure a bit more flattering in this piece. In order to tie in the gold from my belt, I added a chunky gold necklace along with a coral Michael Kors bag to add a little pop of color to the Chloé-inspired look. If I wanted to make the look more casual, I would have paired it with my Tory Burch black sandals. In my version of the outfit, in order to make it a little more dressy for an occasion like a family graduation party, I slipped on some nude heels!

Get My Look: 1. A loose fitting denim dress. 2. An animal printed belt to add shape to the dress. 3. A fun, chunky gold necklace. 4. A bright coral bag to add some color. 5. Nude heels to add a dressy touch.
