STYLE GURU STYLE: Cozy and Casual

It seems that my college town, Blacksburg, Virginia decided to skip the whole season of fall and move into winter immediately. So, lately I have been either wearing big jackets or a lot of layers. I have been glued to this jean jacket and pairing it up with most of my outfits. I found this jean jacket at a Good Will thrift shop nearby my apartment and it has been my statement piece this whole year. I’m so happy I found it because inside the jacket is a wool plaid liner which keeps my body warm while also adding another cool attribute to this jacket.

I’m sporting this nice vintage cropped turtleneck sweater with stripes “borrowed” from my mom’s wardrobe. This turtleneck keeps me warm when the cool breeze hits in the morning when I head for school. Next, I paired up my sweater with some comfy wool leggings from Forever 21. These leggings are absolutely amazing because while keeping the top half of my body warm, my legs are protected from the cold. It is also very easy to move around in especially when I am running late to the bus stop!

For shoes, I am wearing my favorite Dr. Martens boots. These brown boots are always attached to my feet and are a must for winter. They are so comfy and very durable in different kinds of weather. I wear these boots for work and for school because they are so versatile. It’s amazing!

For accessories, I paired up a fierce lion ring from ShopMissA and a black beanie that I found for cheap at Primark! Needless to say, this outfit keeps you warm! Although this isn’t my boldest outfit, my casual style still gets some stares; which I don’t mind! Maybe it will encourage other people to wear whatever they want!
