STYLE GURU STYLE: Coordinating Colors

Hey there, my fellow Fashionistas/os! Do you ever feel that amazing feeling when every part of your ensemble is color coordinated to a T? I know I definitely do, which is what I felt when I put my own personal color-blocking spin on Lisa Perry’s resort 2016 collection. For my styling choices on this look, I did an analogous color-blocking scheme with blues and greens. I was definitely feeling a mermaid vibe with these color choices and my beachy waves. Since I have a makeup addiction too, I had to color coordinate my makeup to my outfit. So the mermaid eyes and nude lip were a definite must for this look. I mean who doesn’t want to be a mermaid, especially in the summer?

I, without a doubt, enjoyed putting together this cool-toned outfit. I paired a peplum top with some capris and a pair of super cute wedges. Peplum styles are very much in, and they have been for a while now. A peplum top can be a curvy girl’s best friend because it camouflages the midsection. The blue and green colors of the top gave a total tropical vibe and pairing it with the green capris helped with my color-blocking idea. I wanted to evenly disperse the color throughout this look, so I popped on some uber stylish blue wedges. Since the top was mainly green at the top, I thought the blue amulet style statement necklace would definitely stand out and help tie everything together. To finish off the look, I added a denim jacket. Denim jackets are my absolute favorite piece because it pretty much goes with everything. I feel as if denim jackets can just complete any look, and layering different items together is half the fun of fashion!
