STYLE GURU STYLE: Clean-Cut And Classic

Summertime is a great time for work attire because although options may be very limited, you really get to put your sense of style to the test. I wear a black blazer, thin bronze tank top, high-waisted white pants and super cute sandals to my summer internship, and I love it! My look was inspired by Gabriela Hearst’s resort 2016 collection. In her look, the model is wearing a nice white suit. This is a great summer look because it’s not the common professional suit. Instead, the oversized blazer and thin tank top give it the cool look and style.

For me, I traded the oversized white blazer for a loose black blazer and added a pop of color with my bronze tank top. This was a great choice to wear to my summer internship because it was sure to make a great impression! All the other interns were pleased with my sense of style. Co-workers and supervisors will always take notice of a great outfit. I matched my outfit with black and white sandals to complete the look and add some comfort.

What I was going for was a clean-cut, classic look that would be timeless in the workplace. I wanted to show off my summer style while still dressing appropriately for an internship. The loose fit of the outfit was intentional to ensure comfort throughout the day and stay on track with my fashion inspiration, which used almost a men’s look inspiration.

Get My Look: 1. Blazer. 2. White pants. 3. Strappy sandals.
