STYLE GURU STYLE: Chic Spring Look

A cute patterned romper, my favorite pair of cowgirl boots and a chic bracelet are my go-to items in the spring. A romper is the perfect simple outfit because it looks good all by itself. Even if you don’t have jewelry, just grab your favorite pair of shoes and you’ll be the center of attention during your afternoon stroll to class!

At New York Fashion Week, J.Crew incorporated many new prints into their spring 2016 ready-to-wear Collection. Jenna Lyons, the creative director at J.Crew, displayed a ton of different prints in her collection, from both horizontal and vertical stripes to monochromatic and floral prints. These unique prints showed me that whatever your style is, the prints you’re sporting are a classic way to express your individuality and pull your look together.

My goal was to make an outfit representative of a runway style this spring season, but to keep it unique to me. I achieved this by wearing my favorite Kendall & Kylie romper that I had to purchase as soon as I saw it; since my style is very boho when spring and summer roll around, this is look perfect for me. Plus, I am also displaying my pattern inspiration from J.Crew at the same time! Keeping fashion simple isn’t always easy to do, but it is with your favorite pattern. My romper also has lace up detail and crochet inset on the sleeves, adding that extra boho depiction.

Rompers like the one I am wearing will never go out of style. This is evident considering my romper is ’70s-chic inspired. Rompers are sold at many different stores, so you can definitely find the perfect one for your style!
