Hey Fashionistas/os! We are in the middle of July already, and this also means bipolar weather as it can be super hot or even strangely cool.
This week, we will be exploring cardigans! Now, you might be thinking: why is this girl wearing a cardigan in the summer? Yes, I am wearing a cardigan, but the difference is the material of the sweater. When it is wintertime, one might wear a cardigan that is thicker and warmer. However, for the summer, I think a key type of outerwear is to use a “netted” or light cardigan. It is especially useful for the breezy summer days or even a gloomy day outside. A specific runway show that inspired me is Véronique Leroy’s resort 2016 collection, which focuses on a specific style of cardigans, releasing retro vibes.
I am wearing a military green cardigan, which is my favorite color; I feel this is a trending color this season. Along with the cardigan, I am wearing my comfortable leggings and a loose top underneath. This overall look is dressy and casual at the same time, which I emphasize and really admire for the summer. One can pair this look with sandals or even with flats, which I wore in this look that is inspired by the runway show.
I also wanted to point out the convenience of tiny cross-body bags. The summer is the time to take it easy, and I believe that bags during this time should not really be that big in size at all. It is so much easier to carry around a smaller bag as one looks effortlessly chic and cute, simultaneously.
I hope you all enjoyed reading this article, and see you next week!
