STYLE GURU STYLE: Bright Bags and Dark Clothing

Watching the Givenchy fall 2015 ready-to-wear show, I was inspired by their classic gothic look that was turned up a notch this show season. The dark colors ranging from black to navy blue were breathtaking in Ricardo Tisici’s amazing execution. Black dresses and other pieces stormed down the runway made up of incredible detailed patterns and lace. As the most popular show of the season, stars from Kim Kardashian to Jared Leto were in attendance. Attendees like these two stars were also spotted wearing Tisici’s classic black clothing theme. The show wowed viewers from the beginning with simple black dresses with incredible detail, but impressed even more with the last looks consisting of detailed sequin dresses, pants and tops to match.

Specifically, look 36 caught my attention. Taylor Hill, a model for IMG, rocked the runway in an amazing fur detailed zipper and leather top with a simple pair of black trousers including leather running down the sides of them. Red was the color that made the collection pop, incorporated in some of the designer’s pieces. In my look, I wore a pair of lululemon high-waisted leggings, an alice + olivia crop top with white paneling, Chanel biker boots and carried a Balenciaga rouge-colored bag. Look 36 of the Givenchy collection inspired the pop of red I included in my outfit through my bag and my overall dark look. Just like my look, the runway collection also included black boots for every model.

Get My Look: 1. A pair of black combat boots. 2. A bright red bag. 3. A great pair of high-waisted black leggings.
