STYLE GURU STYLE: Army-Chic

As I’ve mentioned before, simple and casual outfits are some of my favorite looks to sport. Not only do I make sure my outfits are comfortable, I also often pair simplistic colors together. I love working with muted and neutral colors in many of my outfits. Army green is considered a neutral in my book, and I love pairing it with other neutral colors to create a simple yet fashionable look.

I took my inspiration from the Marissa Webb resort 2016 collection, and used green army pants, much like featured on one of her runway looks, to build my outfit and create a comfortable summer outfit. In part of Webb’s collection, army green and white were two key colors featured throughout. Although black was another natural Webb featured, I chose to use brown instead because I find black to sometimes be too harsh for the warmer summer months.

I paired my linen, cargo-style green pants with a simple white halter top and brown strappy sandals. Although the pieces sound minimalist, when paired together with the right accessories, the outfit still appears put together and chic. My simple silver bangle and flash tattoos add a hint of bling and glimmer without being too over the top.

In my opinion, neutrals are the perfect option for any summer look. Army green is the perfect way to incorporate a more fun neutral while still adding a hint of color to any look.
