If you follow me on my social media, then it should come as no surprise that I am one of those people who is completely obsessed with wearing stripes. Honestly, if you look in my closet, stripes are pretty much all you see, and yet I am completely content with that. For us fashion lovers, the good thing about being head over heels for the stripe pattern is that it never goes out of style!
The classic blue and white stripe trend, or seersucker as the Southerners call it, is featured in Jenni Kayne’s 2016 resort collection. It is featured as a simple top, paired with a floppy hat to add more interest. Floppy hats are definitely in this year for the summertime style, but I decided to take this trend in a different direction and align more with my own personal style.
For my outfit featured in this post, I followed the same trend idea and kept it simple. I am wearing a simple black and white striped crop T-shirt from H&M, paired with gorgeous yet fun earrings to jazz up my look! Pairing fun pieces of jewelry to your outfit is a quick and effortless way to dress up your look. Adding a great piece of jewelry to a simpler outfit helps take on outfit to the next level. In order to transform the runway look to my own style, I added something flashy and sassy!
