STYLE GURU STYLE: A Cup Of Tea

The colors black and white have always been statement pieces, at least in my opinion. There’s an elegance and sincerity when wearing these colors. Sharon Wauchon’s pre-fall 2015 collection demonstrates exactly that. This collection shows off empowerment and a strong, thriving woman. No doubt that when walking into any room, eyes will turn to you and only you. The collection brought in the elements of classiness and sophistication, beginning with lace and silky tops to embroidered heavy coats and long flare bottoms. Along came its wonderful color palette, bringing together warm and neutral colors. Beauty was at its finest.

Inspired by this collection, I decided to go with a black and white ensemble. I wanted my look to be as simple as possible but still incorporate the collection’s sincere and innocent approach. Therefore, I went with this white long sleeve lace top and paired it up with a wide flare polka-dot skirt. This allowed for a playful yet graceful take. To finish off my look, I went for these all-white booties to give my look a balance and keep it away from looking too busy or dressy. When wearing black and white, I feel that less is more. You want to wear the outfit and not let it wear you.

This collection shows you that embracing your femininity is nothing to be afraid of. If you’re ever looking for inspiration or love the small details, this collection would be the perfect cup of tea. So go ahead and take a sip, I dare you.
