STYLE GURU BIO: Tyller Marquez

September 2nd, 2016 at 2:00am

Hi y’all! My name is Tyller Marquez and I’m a sophomore at the University of New Mexico. I’m studying business, and I plan on going into marketing—hopefully for a clothing brand that I love, fingers crossed! I recently started a personal fashion blog, and shortly after found out about the CollegeFashionista internship. I am so excited for the opportunity to get to be a part of CollegeFashionista because it means that I get to incorporate fashion into yet another part of my life. SCORE!

I have loved fashion since I can remember. There’s just something that makes me so happy about a cute outfit! I’m that girl that is pretty much always dressed up, no matter the occasion. After getting tons of questions about my clothing, I decided to find a way to showcase my personal style. Like I mentioned, I started a blog, and was lucky enough to be a part of the CF internship. I believe the main thing that sets my style apart from others is definitely how I shop. I have always had expensive taste, but I have never had the wallet to match. So, I always shop with a very small budget. I love finding super cute, on-trend pieces that are super affordable. It’s really the best of both worlds: I have a well rounded wardrobe, and my bank account never had to suffer. Yay!

In addition to expressing my own personal fashion, I am incredibly excited to get to look into the personal style of my fellow Lobos (UNM’s mascot) as well as the personal style of other Fashionistas/os. Whenever I’m on campus, I always love looking at the different styles around. Everyone has a completely different style, and I love seeing how people express themselves through that style.

I love looks like the one above because not only is this look SO affordable, it’s so cute! I love a good floral in the summer, and I really love a pair of wedges that don’t kill my feet. Believe it or not, these wedges are totally comfy. Also, if there was ever anything to splurge on, it’s this tote. It is my favorite thing I own. I use it for my handbag and my ‘backpack’ when I’m in school.

Stay tuned for future posts and follow me on Instagram and Twitter for updates on CollegeFashionista posts, blog posts, and even simple OOTDs (outfit of the day). I’m so excited for all the fun posts ahead!
