STYLE GURU BIO: Tori Radday

Hello! My name is Tori Radday. I’m a senior fashion merchandising student at Philadelphia University. I’m originally from Richmond, Virginia but traveled up along the East Coast to be closer to the heart of the fashion industry in which I one day hope to work in. Once I graduate, I’m interested in working in the field of fashion journalism which is one of the reasons I’m so excited about my CollegeFashionista internship this semester.

Throughout the past few years, I’ve honed my writing skills through an internship at RVAMag a couple summers ago as well as through running my own fashion blog Fashion, Trends & More, for the past five and a half years. Additionally, I’ve written for Explore Philly and the Odyssey. I’ve also interned with jewelry designer, Kay Adams in Richmond and have worked retail.

I would describe my personal style as free-spirited yet put-together. Often I frequent thrift shops in search of one-of-a-kind pieces that I know that no one else will be wearing. Thrift shops aren’t only great for finding unique pieces, they’re a great place to find incredible deals. I love combining thrifted and vintage pieces with modern, trendy pieces to create an interesting aesthetic. I’m also very drawn to different prints and textures; I think it’s very interesting to juxtapose different textures and prints with each other to create entirely unique looks. Right now, I’m currently falling all over anything faux fur.

For this look I incorporated my love of the faux fur texture with this glam jacket that I purchased at H&M last winter. I played around with textures by pairing it with a vintage corduroy dress in a deep shade of plum. I decided to make a statement by donning a silver metallic pair of shoes and bold coin necklace. Red lipstick and killer shades pulled the look together.
