Hello everyone! My name is Tiffany Tse, and I am truly excited to join the #GuruGang this spring 2017 semester! This bio will bring you closer to my life as you will learn more about me and my style.
I was born in Singapore but raised in Taipei, and now I reside at West Lafayette, Indiana. I am a junior at Purdue University studying public relations and strategic communications. I was always captivated by fashion and beauty trends ever since I was very young. From planning what to wear to spending hours getting my makeup on fleek were always very fun. Growing up, I loved going to boutiques to see how people style different clothing items and makeup stores to test different products. Collecting makeup, reviewing products, and researching beauty and fashion trends quickly became a passion and habit of mine. My passion and love for cosmetics led me to realize that I want to pursue a career in the cosmetic industry. Although I am unsure of where I want to start off after graduation, I do know that in the far future, I want to create my own cosmetic line. Because of this, I am so excited to share my passion and perspective to the public.
Describing my style is definitely hard because I cannot find a word to describe it. There are days were I am more classy and modest, but there are also days where I am more edgy, lazy, or casual since it all depends on my mood or what kind of look I want for occasions. I always love looking at like YouTube vloggers’ channels like “clothesencounter” for inspirations.
In these photos, I wanted to portray my go to style, which is simple but edgy. I decided to wear a simple charcoal heather T-shirt from Forever 21. What I love about this top is that it may be simple, but what makes it special is the side slit detail. I paired it with a classic motorbike leather jacket from Zara. Leather jackets is an easy way to turn an outfit from simple to edgy. Of course, I would pair my top also with some comfortable black leggings and my go-to ankle boots also from Forever 21. These ankle boots are not only stylish and easy to match, but also insanely comfortable. To make the look even edgier, I decided to accessorize the outfit with a silver choker since chokers are trending right now. Then to take the whole look up a notch, I decided to pair it with Kat Von D’s Liquid Lipstick in Lolita, which is a chestnut rose color. Whenever my look is more simple, I love to pair it with a bolder lip color to tie the whole look together.
