Hello everyone! My name is Tiffany Folkes and I am super excited to kick off my summer as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I have just entered my junior year at the University of Montana, where I am majoring in broadcast journalism with a minor in media arts. I am passionate for all things behind the scenes: shooting, editing, directing and design.
Besides my love of film and design, I continue to grow more conscious about the disastrous effects of climate change and am working on becoming more environmentally friendly in the ways that I live, eat and shop. My goals for the future aim to combine my interests and work in the documentary film industry. Yet, my current goals, always seem to be changing.
When I’m not watching movies, you can find me listening to my new favorite playlist on Spotify, taking a hike or reading magazines while working out on the elliptical.
Fashion and being stylish has always been second nature for me. I grew up with a mom whose lunch breaks were spent at Nordstrom and who had me flipping through fashion magazines before I could even speak. As a result, I’ve taken a few pointers from her classic wardrobe and have added some modern approaches to it.
My go-to for almost any outfit is a good pair of booties, like the pair I’m wearing from Forever 21. I also own an abundance of tank tops and can’t buy enough jeans from the Gap. Honestly, I’m not the biggest fan of dresses, but I add femininity to my outfits through heels and florals.
This summer, I have a few concerts lined up, a trip planned and a couple of online classes to ace. I am looking forward to all the potential this summer has to offer, especially with this opportunity to be a Style Guru. Stay tuned for stylish updates to come!
