Hello fashion lovers! I am Tiffany Cheng, a sophomore at Pace University dual majoring in Communication Studies and Sociology/Anthropology. I was born in Quincy, Massachusetts then moved to King of Prussia, PA at the age of ten (I’m right down the street from the second largest mall in America!). I now live in lower Manhattan during the fall and spring semesters. Aside from being a student, I am also a waitress back home and work part-time at aerie. Some of my other hobbies and passions include singing, dancing and DIY projects!
Growing up I have always loved fashion; I grew up always trying to replicate what I see on TV and in ads and trying to dress like my Barbie and Bratz dolls. While trying to recreate looks, I’ve always loved putting my own spin on all fashion trends, like adding a bracelet, a statement necklace or adding a pop of color here and there. In middle school and high school is when I really started exploring my passion for fashion and beauty. I found inspiration everywhere and took notes on what I liked. During a time of developing and understanding who I was, I learned what looks best on myself and on others.
I don’t always stick to the same “look” but I do have some basics that I always go back to. Being in college we all have our good days and our bad days, and we can express that through what we wear and that is completely ok! I am here to show you how to look your best without feeling like it!
I have a very open mind about fashion and the trends that surround us. I believe that you can teach fashion but you cannot teach style. Style is something that every individual creates themselves. I am here to show you Fashionistas/os what trends we see on the runway and on the streets of NYC (and possibly some other cities!) but I cannot stress enough on making the recreations of these trends your own. Always own it when you strut out of you bedroom and bring the inner you out!
I’m so excited to be a part of the CollegeFashionista crew and be sure to come back every Friday (right before you head out to celebrate the weekend!) to check what I have in store for all you Fashionistas/os out there!
