STYLE GURU BIO: Tayler Rutter

Hey there all you fashionable babes! Summer is finally here and so are the new and hottest trends for these even hotter summer days up ahead. Whether you’re like me and it seems like black and basics is all you own or you’re a lover of bright pops of color and taking fashion risks, summer fashion has something to offer for you. This is a time of music festivals, trips to the beach, late night street fairs and bottomless mimosas at brunch with the girls. Stop by my page this summer as I follow the latest and chicest looks that you can incorporate into your RAD and fashionable style for all your sunny day adventures, even if it’s just to the mall or out with the girls.

Here’s a little bit about me just so we can get to know each other a bit better. This is my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista and I couldn’t be more excited! I can’t wait to finally be able to write about what I really love, fashion, and take some pretty stylish photos along the way! I’m a Psychology major and will be starting my junior year next semester up in the green and beachy northern part of California, Humboldt County. I studied Fashion Merchandising for a year in sunny Sacramento and spent a year as a Style Specialist for a designer brand at Macy’s. It’s pretty obvious that even though I live in a pretty rural area now fashion has always been my passion! I was even awarded best dressed at my high school, a fact that I’m never going to stop throwing into random conversations no matter what anyone says. A girl has got to flaunt her achievements after all.

Like I mentioned before, I practically live in dark colors like black, gray and dark greens. I love to mix girly pieces with masculine items, like this look which has a cute romper paired with an army green military-inspired jacket over the top. One staple item I think every girl should add to her summer wardrobe is a pair of strappy sandals. I love mine with a chunky heel because I’m 5’4 and a little bit of height goes along way and makes my legs look even longer. Whether you’re a heel girl like me or you feel most comfortable rocking those flats, a pair of cute sandals you can pair with almost anything will make completing your outfit and walking out that door feeling fabulous that much easier!

Thanks for checking in with me, and I hope to see all you RAD Fashionistas this summer!
