My name is Sydney Parise and I am a junior Strategic Communications major at Texas Christian University. I look forward to sharing my fashion knowledge and learning from others too. I am originally from Portland, Oregon but I have lived in Texas for three years now. After graduation I hope to move to New York City with a few of my close friends.
I love to travel, meet new people and have adventures. Last summer I studied in London where I didn’t know a single person. I like to take risks and engage in different cultures. Pushing myself out of my comfort zone has really made me who I am today.
I don’t have a favorite season because I love them all, and I actually find the sound of rain quite soothing. In my free time I enjoy a lovely cup of coffee and a good book.
I have always loved fashion and shopping. I don’t have a specific style, but I do love to spice it up and try new things. This semester I hope to discover my own personal style as well as improve my writing skills. I am currently obsessed with Nordstrom, Topshop and Zara. All my favorite clothing items are from these brands. Although basic staple pieces are essential, I feel that a simple piece of jewelry can always bring an outfit together. My favorite piece of jewelry is my Alex and Ani bracelet.
I am excited to be writing about fashion this semester, and I hope to meet some fellow Fashionistas/os along the way.
