STYLE GURU BIO: Storm Dolfi

Hello friends! My name is Storm. I live and breathe fashion design at Kent State University but spend my holidays and summers at home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Even outside of school, I let fashion design guide my every move. I have an internship designing women’s formalwear, and beyond that, I’m always sitting at my sewing machine making or fixing something. I love to shop too, but I’m always on the lookout for a deal. Thrift stores are my favorite and I’ve found some great steals over the years!

I like to describe my styles as a mix of two contrasting things: part vintage scarlet, part punk-rock diva. I know, what a combo! Fashion is great because you get to choose who you want to be by what you wear, and I love to change it up.

I definitely get my love of vintage styles and my keen eye for deals from my mom. I have the best memories of clearance shopping and thrift store hunting with her from the time I could walk, practically! I let my surroundings influence me too. I grew up along the riverside and in a family that loves boating—I think you can really tell by what I wear sometimes! I love adorable sailor shorts for the summer, and stripes are a huge trend right now. Vintage-style oxfords go with practically everything and are comfy for walking around in all year round. A huge smile and never taking yourself too seriously are key accessories in my book, too.

This summer is going to be a fun one, and I can’t wait to share it with all of you!
