Hello to all who have graced my page while I venture through my depiction of the nutty style of the Bay Area! I am currently an Apparel Merchandising student residing in the outlandish city of Oakland, California.
You might question where my passion for this industry all began. It all started in my youth overseas in Seoul, South Korea by following my aunt through the world’s largest wholesale district and retail fashion shopping mecca by the name of Dondaemun Market. Coming from a family all heavily involved in the fashion industry in Asia, it easily sparked my interest and eventually became my drive for success in the flourishing apparel industry in the United States.
After my many travels all around the world I have come to the brief realization that trends differ depending on which city you’re visiting/residing in. As excited as I am to be filling in the summer internship here at CollegeFashionista, the weather conditions in the Bay Area tend to be colder during the next three months than most parts of your typical “California summer.” But don’t fret! I will be going over many summer trends rain or shine!
My style overall would honestly be the hardest topic to discuss seeing that it really is all over the place. Seeing many styles all over the world has made it difficult to really adapt to one specific kind of style. I am constantly being inspired by everyday culture, people, etc.
