STYLE GURU BIO: Shelby Lewandoski

Hey y’all, and happy winter! My name is Shelby Lewandoski. Everyone calls me Shelby Lew or Shelby-Lew-Who because I’m short and bubbly. I am so excited to be writing for CollegeFashionista this semester. I’m from Atlanta, Georgia and am a senior at Ole Miss studying integrated marketing communications. My dream job after college is in New York City working in marketing, social media or public relations for a fab fashion company.

I have my own lifestyle blog called “Short, Sweet, and a Georgia Peach” where I talk about the random little things in life. I love to travel anywhere and everywhere to see new cultures and have new experiences. I also lived and traveled in Prague, Czech Republic last spring for a semester. I love fitness and how through it it changes everything, but I also have a huge sweet tooth and love for food. I also love to sing and listen to all different types of music. And lastly, of course fashion. I love how personal it is to each person through expression and individualism as well as how it redefines beauty each morning when getting dressed. As Kate Spade says, “playing dress up begins at age five and never truly ends.”

I would consider my style to be fun and classic. I’ve worked at Anthropologie and J.Crew, so classic and eclectic combined. I love color and mixing colors and textures. Modest does not always mean frumpy, it means classy. A few of my favorite pieces are midi skirts, high heels, anything with an A line, scarves and statement necklaces. You can never go wrong with a pop of color, bows, an open back and a little sparkle. My style icons are Blair Eadie of Atlantic Pacific, Kate Spade, Carrie Bradshaw, Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James line and, of course, Blair Waldorf.

I can’t wait to share all the fashion trends and styles this upcoming semester!
