STYLE GURU BIO: Sarah Holliday

Hey Fashionista/os. I am so happy to finally start my journey as a CollegeFashionista Style Guru! I can’t wait to share with you what inspires me and how fashion and style make my life so much more joyful. For starters, I am a sophomore at the University of Kentucky working on dual degrees in marketing and merchandising, apparel and textiles. I have a need to browse the latest trends at all times and enjoy spending time sipping coffee or tea in my PJs.

I fell in love with New York City and the fashion industry when I was in high school, but my passion for clothing came at a much younger age. I always had a thirst for more and more knowledge of the fashion industry and soaked it up at the library as a kid, both through books and computer games. As I grew older, America’s Next Top Model and Project Runway were also huge influencers in my desire to pursue a career in this cutthroat industry. St. Louis raised me as a city girl at heart, and I think going to school in Kentucky has challenged me to get out to a big city as soon as I can.

I like to think my style comes from a multitude of eclectic influences. Whether its a chunky cowl or a comfortable long sleeve, there is nothing that I adore more than fashion that is casual. I love something you can throw on and still feel like you’re in your own skin, like these over-the-knee boots. I don’t think any of my outfits could possibly be complete without a pair of my favorite sunnies and a statement blush.

Such joy comes from sharing my style with others and I am so excited that CollegeFashionista has allowed me to show the world what inspires my life and what wakes me up in the morning. Keep reading, Fashionista/os; maybe one of you will turn out to be my inspiration!
