STYLE GURU BIO: Sarah Arment

Hey there!

My name is Sarah Arment, and I’m currently a freshman at Boston University! I’m undeclared at the moment, but I’m having fun exploring my options and am thinking of getting dual degrees in psychology and mass communications. I’m so excited to be writing for CollegeFashionista, and I can’t wait to provide you all with some cool fashion insight, as well as pick up some inspiration of my own from you guys!

To be honest, I’m more of a makeup junkie than a fashion maven. My vanity drawers are practically overflowing with miscellaneous beauty products, but I can definitely appreciate an awesome bomber jacket or a great pair of boots. My personal beauty routine is all based around my mood and how I’m feeling on a particular day, so it’s never the same for two days in a row! Fashion and beauty have truly become an amazing creative outlet and an awesome way to express myself. I believe that style shouldn’t be about trends or fads, but should be a way to discover and showcase your best, most authentic self. If putting together a makeup look or getting dressed in the morning doesn’t make you feel 100 percent happy and confident, don’t wear it!

For this look, I paired my favorite and most worn in pair of black jeans from Topshop with an olive green, high-neck top from Uniqlo, and my favorite pair of simple platform ankle booties from Aldo. Don’t be fooled by the platform and chunky heel; they are super comfortable and easy to walk in! To spice up this neutral look (I’m having a real neutrals phase right now), I chose this incredible bomber jacket from Topshop and a pair of classic silver hoops. A fun, silky bomber jacket is a really easy way to add a unique touch to any outfit! Bombers are really in right now, so you can find them in almost any color, material, style, or price point. They’re great for adding a personalized, stylish, and on-trend touch to any outfit. Overall, this look is easy, a little edgy and super comfortable!
