Hello my lovely, stylish friends and welcome to my page! My name is Samama and I am very excited for my first season as a Style Guru on CollegeFashionista!
As a soon to be junior at Marquette University, I am studying Journalism and Political Science and I aspire to go to law school after graduation.
Since Marquette is located in Wisconsin, you never know how the weather may surprise you, which is why I like to dress in light layers that I can easily put on and take off throughout the day. Here I am wearing a basic long-sleeve shirt, a lightweight cardigan and light wash jeans. This outfit keeps me warm enough in case it gets cold, but also has a summery vibe to it.
I have a deep appreciation for writing, music, fashion and just about any outlet of self-expression. I love shoes, make-up and the color black. My favorite part of the day is getting ready in the morning.
I believe that a closet is one place in a home that is spilling over with memories because everything in it has a story. You may remember that little black dress as the dress you wore on your first date with your boyfriend or that comfy plaid shirt as the shirt you wore on your first day of college. No matter what the item is, every piece of clothing has a story and means something to you.
According to the legendary Coco Chanel, “a girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.” These are words that I strive to embody in all aspects of my life.
Fashion was always an evident part of my life. Anyone who knows me personally will tell you that I never leave the house unless my outfit is perfect and make-up is polished. I am a strong believer of the look good, feel good motto. For me, fashion is both a motivational notion and a form of self-expression.
I can spend hours flipping through fashion magazines and reading fashion blog posts, which is why I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to be behind the scenes of a fashion website.
