STYLE GURU BIO: Sam Mandich

Hi Fashionistas and Fasionistos! My name is Sam Mandich and I am beyond excited to be a Style Guru for the fall 2016 semester! I am currently a senior at Fordham University majoring in Communications with a concentration in Film, while also pursuing a double minor in Visual Arts and Fashion Studies. In addition to that, I have a passion for dance, film and photography. I hope to continue balancing my artistic endeavors with my academics and work throughout my final year at Fordham. I’m all about creativity, and I cannot wait to begin this oh so stylish semester with you all!

As a native of Long Beach, California (shout out to Snoop Dogg) I have to say I am a pretty laid back person. My personal style ranges from boho-California chic (Free People for days), to taking on the New York City streets in booties and vintage graphic tees. I have a special place in my heart for ugly patterns, and I love to switch up my mostly black and white wardrobe with unique pieces I find in second hand stores. Like I mentioned before, I love to be creative with my style, and I love giving old clothing a new life!

Besides my adoration for fashion, I am a dancer and photographer in my (limited) free time. Fashion, like dance and photography, is a form of expression that I would encourage everyone to experiment with. Individuality is often something that we take for granted, and I hope to inspire other fashionistas/os to be confident and to be themselves. I am honored to be a part of College Fashionista this semester, and I cannot wait to get rad with my fellow Style Gurus.
